Dear Colleagues,

It is a proud moment for the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) that a Single Theme Conference (STC) is being organized on a very contemporary and often neglected topic, “Liver Diseases and Pregnancy.” Professor Hasmik and Nersesov, and the Scientific and the organizing team at the Kazakh Medical University, need to be complimented for an excellent scientific program. They have involved some of the best experts in the field. I am aware that Prof. Nersesov and team is also planning to develop a guideline on the conference theme.

On behalf of the APASL Steering Committee, I want to thank them for providing a platform for the APASL. I do hope many younger faculty and students from the region would get encouraged to work on Liver Diseases and enrich the field.
